Mustache Skateboarders and Moustache Books!

So from time to time you run into other people who enjoy some of the same things that you enjoy. I mean skateboarding is a popular activity for people to participate in so it is easy to run into another skateboarder. And Mustaches have picked up in popularity over the past few years so you can bump into a fellow with a mustache. But it is rarer to meet a fellow that has both a mustache and a love for the 4 wheeled pain machine we call a skateboard. I recently met a fellow by the name of Stephen Stone. We talked skateboarding and we talked self promotion and we talked mustaches as well. Here is a little bit of Stephen doing the skateboard action fun time.

I was trying to motivate Stephen Stone to take his mustache to the next level. I had recently came into the possession of a pretty freaking sweet mustache book.

This Mustache Book is better then most Mustache Books I have seen because it actually has some grooming advice and some history to go along with the pictures. It is not just a joke book or a silly good time mustache book.

This thing has mega dope quotes like: “What makes a man strange enough to want to wear a giant moustache on his face? I don’t know.” – Ben Davidson.

Now Stephen Stone and I are no longer sharing the same place of employment but we still share the same passion for skateboards and mustaches! If you read this Mr. Stone I am going to get you this book so that you too can enjoy the pages of moustache excitement and possibly begin a larger moustache journey of your own.

Long Live The Moustache and The Skateboard!

Death or Mustache Tattoo!

This is Mustache commitment thanks to Josh Williams at Saints and Sinners Tattoo in Carrollton, Texas! Get yourself one but it ain’t going to be this cool!

I need two pairs of these PLEASE!

I found this on one heck of an awesome tumblr!

Wichita, Kansas has a skate shop!

On my recent “dangerous” trip to Wichita, Kansas I got to check out the local skateboard shop that is sponsoring the Get Rad Art Show. I am a fan of Wichita and I am a fan of skateboarding.

So mix them together and you get Endless Ride Skate Shop! They are what I consider to be a classic skateboard shop. Filled with everything you need to skate and void of all the things that can distract you from your mission of skateboard dominance. The shop was filled with skateboard history and displayed some things that would make skateboard collectors drool. I am bummed I didn’t get some exciting in the shop photos but my phone died within minutes of entering the shop. So I will be stealing a few photos wherever I can online!

Stolen Facebook photo this kid should be extra stoked not only is he on the Facebook but also TheMostMediocre!!

I also picked up a video that I had been trying to get forever called Feel Free. I was super stoked to see this video hanging out in the shop since I had not been able to find it anyplace else. I am not into buying things online so I was determined to stick it out till I found one someplace local.

This video was super sick. I miss the days when you saw a lot more independent skateboard films. This thing is raw, rad, and Mark Gutterman’s part is so creative that it inspires me to have more fun on my skateboard. Do not sleep on this video! You will laugh, giggle, and wiggle when you watch it.

Also remember to support your local skate board shops like Endless Ride in Wichita, Kansas. These guys are working hard to bring you the things you need to shred and helping bring you awesome events like the Get Rad Art Show.

Get Rad and go skateboard and you know do all the things that make you, you and I will continue to do the things that make me, me and write blogs and continue to fight for the acceptance of run-on sentences in todays world!

I am bad luck for my car. Long live the Yaris!

So three days before my exciting trip to Kansas to hand deliver my Get Rad Art Show Boards to Matt at Red Sea Tattoo. I ran over a median and destroyed two tires. I can’t actually explain what happened. I would say a miss judgement of distance and speed best explains what happened. I wacked the median and blew out both tires on the drivers side and felt like a dork. I just about took out my wife and twins before they got a chance to experience what will most likely be one heck of a great time on earth.

Now luckily for me I had some super help and got those tires fixed. This allowed me to continue what I knew would be and what turned out to be the most amazing Kansas trips to date. It involved public pools, art, skateboards, skate shops, record shops, food, and diving boards! But things almost took a turn towards disaster and devastation.

On the way home in the not so great state of Oklahoma cruising down the dark and scary freeway at about 80 miles an hour a giant tire monster or a hobo jumped out of the darkness and smashed into my car. Luckily I was “awake” but stayed calm and didn’t wreck the car. I can’t say the same for my sleeping co-pilot that woke up screaming like a girl and asking “What the heck happened?” “Did we hit something?” “Is that blood?”. But for all possible later court proceedings he didn’t see anything. We kept trucking along and made it to a gas station about an hour later to find my bumper hanging on for dear life. Missing a few parts but the Yaris made it back home.

Long Live the Yaris!

My hair has lost its mind and it is freaking me out.

This Pleases Me!

Geoff Rowley SPV Vans Shoe Review and other things!

I love shoes. I mean seriously I love shoes. I would marry a pair of shoes if it was legal to do so in the United States of America. I like new shoes. I enjoy new shoe technology. I like shoe laces, insoles, and tongues. I mean a new pair of shoes can change the way I look at the world. I love me some shoes.

So I got me some shoes cause I was in need of some new excitement in my life. I had a few shoes in mind but in the end I picked up a pair of those new Geoff Rowley SPV Vans. I got the black suede pair even though my heart wanted the all black ones. The black suede just felt better.

So these things are suppose to be extra light and super flexible, and let me tell you they are. These are by far the lightest and most flexible ready to go out the box shoes I have ever had.

It also has a sweet reverse waffle sole. I think this is want gives it the mega board feel. Now if you love some serious board feel with your shoes then these are your new shoes. I am always down for some thin shoes. I don’t really dig cup sole stuff anymore.

I only have one negative thing to say about these bad boys and that actually has to do with the mega board feel. I am 33 now and my feet feel like they are 65. And to be honest if I land primo in these suckers I am heading home early from the skate park. These guys are extra thin and even with a pretty nice insole you feel everything. But this is a very minor thing. Some people love that fear it helps them land every trick.

My personal rating for the Geoff Rowley SPV is a 7.5 out of 10. This is a cool shoes from Vans and totally worth picking up. If your in a hurry and need to pick these suckers up hit up Index!

What might be considered mild bulldog torture or super awesome stuff for cuteoverload.com!

I will deny any involvement in the possible torture or over load of cuteness that is this photo. I am sure that Paw hates me but it’s his own fault for being so dang cute and ugly at the same time!
